Setting up for MIDI

To hear the MIDI music files on the Pavilion of Polyhedreality page, your computer and web browser must be set up to play MIDI files when they are received. This is now pretty standard.  The advantage of the MIDI format is that it is very compact, so the music transfers very quickly. The disadvantage is that the sound quality will depend on your synthesizer (in your soundcard), and won't sound like much with an inexpensive unit.

Performance credits: The MIDI files in the Pavilion were selected mostly from the Classical MIDI Archives and ftp://ftp.ucsd.edu/midi/scores/bach/.   Some are my own renditions.  The original player/sequencer's name is often credited inside the file on one of the track labels.
